Backfilling

Invoking tagger backill operations is completely optional. A few scenarios where you may want to invoke tagger backfill include the following:

  • A set of robologs you want to be tagged was ingested before a tagger was created.
  • A normfill invocation failed to tag a robolog due to a misconfiguration of the tagger's variables, predicates, or outputs.

Backfill a set of robologs

You may create a backfill invocation from either the event autotagging dashboard or from a tagger's details page.

  1. Click "Backfill."
  2. Select the tagger you want to use for backfill from the dropdown; the latest tested version is selected by default, but you may choose a different version as long as it has been tested.
  3. Use the provided search UI to find the robologs you want to backfill.
  4. Click "+ Add" next to a given robolog to add it to the backfill set.
  5. Click "Run backfill."

Viewing results

As with all other invocation types, you may access the status and results of a tagger backfill invocation from the invocations list in a tagger's details page.
