Backfilling
Invoking a video generator backill is completely optional.
A few scenarios where you may want to do this include the following:
- A set of robologs were was ingested before you defined a video generator. You may backfill these robologs to generate videos for them.
- A normfill invocation failed generate video(s) due to a misconfiguration of the video generator's outputs.
Note: A successful backfill invocation will result in an overwrite of existing video outputs generated by previous invocations of a given video generator that used the same robolog and output names.
Backfill a set of robologs
You may create a backfill invocation from either the video generator dashboard or from a video generator's details page.
- Click "Backfill".
- Select the video generator you want to use for backfill from the dropdown; the latest tested version is selected by default, but you may choose a different version as long as it has been tested.
- Use the provided search UI to find the robologs you want to backfill.
- Click "+ Add" next to a given robolog to add it to the backfill set.
- Click "Run backfill".
Viewing results
As with all other invocation types, you may access the status and results of a video generator backfill invocation from the invocations list in a video generator's details page.
